How do Ten Motives Work?

Ten Motives Electronic cigarettes are a healthier alternative to traditional tobacco based cigarettes. They contain liquid nicotine and propylene glycol which satisfies your nicotine craving for a normal cigarette when you inhale the vapour it creates. The battery element heats up the liquid within the refill/disposable and evaporates it, allowing you to inhale it as a vapour. This vapour transfers the nicotine into your system and provides relief from nicotine cravings. All you exhale is a harmless water vapour.

Are Ten Motives Safe?

Ten Motives only contain nicotine and propylene glycol which allows the nicotine to become a vapour. We have had our products independently tested in this country before sale to ensure their safety. Our products contain none of the 4000 or so, harmful chemicals and carcinogens which you would find in a traditional cigarette. This makes them a healthier alternative to traditional smoking. How do I use a Disposable?

To use a disposable all you need to do is take it out of the packaging, remover the rubber cap on the end and inhale on it as you would a normal cigarette.  The tip of the disposable will light up blue and you will get a hit of flavour and water vapour on the back of your throat. Each disposable will last around 40 cigarettes depending on how heavily it is used and when it is empty the tip will repeatedly flash blue when inhaled on.

How do I use a Rechargeable?

The rechargeable is made up of 3 components, a rechargeable battery, a refill and a USB charger. To use the rechargeable remove it from the packaging and screw the white battery section into the USB charger and insert this into the USB port on a computer or laptop. The blue light on the end of the battery should illuminate to indicate that the battery is charging. This should take around 2 and a half to 3 hours. When the battery is fully charged the light on the end will go out. When you remove the battery from the charger it will flash 3 times indicating it is ready to use. If the battery does not light up blue when you first put it on charge, it is likely to be already fully charged from the package and will charge as above after you have run it down the first time.

Once the battery is fully charged remove it from the USB charger and screw on the refill. The refill contains the nicotine and propylene glycol and so when you inhale on this the battery will evaporate the solution and you will inhale the vapour giving the sensation and appearance of smoking. The tip of the battery should light up blue when you are inhaling on the cigarette and then go out. You will only be using the battery life when inhaling on the battery and the light is on. When you put it down the battery will cut out preserving the charge.

Is my Rechargeable compatible with all the flavour cartridges?

Yes, our rechargeables are made to be compatible and interchangeable with our other products. You can order any flavour or strength refills and they will work with your battery.

How can I tell when I need to change the refill on my Rechargeable?

You will eventually notice that there is less vapour and taste then when you first started to use the refill which is indicating that the liquid within it is nearly used up. Eventually you will be inhaling on the refill and getting no taste or vapour at all and this is when it needs to be changed.

How long should a refill last?

Each refill is equivalent to around 25 traditional cigarettes although this is dependent on how heavily it is used. Heavier or longer inhalations will use the liquid up more quickly, reducing the overall lifespan of the refill. The refills are available in boxes of 5 and one box is the equivalent of 125 traditional cigarettes, again subject to how heavily or how long you draw on the electronic cigarette.

How do I know when I need to charge the battery?

When the battery needs charging the blue light will flash repeatedly when you inhale on the cigarette. You should then attach the USB charger and insert this into a USB port on a computer or laptop to charge. This should take around 2-3 hours and the battery will be ready to use when the blue light goes out. The battery will flash again when removed from the charger although this is to indicate that it is ready to use.

How long should my battery last?

A battery is under a 3 month warranty from date of purchase and so if you have problem with it during this time then please contact us. You must retain the battery in order for us to have it tested. After the 3 month warranty is over most batteries will continue to function for a few months although you may notice them gradually winding down and needing to be charged more often. This is a good indication that it is time to purchase a replacement. Once fully charged a battery should last around 8 hours depending on how much it is used.

How can I tell the difference between a rechargeable and a disposable?

The rechargeable cigarette is supplied in three separate components, the battery, refill and USB charger. These are visible trough the clear packaging. A disposable is one sealed unit and cannot be taken apart. The disposable is also slightly longer and heavier than a rechargeable.

How many puffs on the Ten Motives electronic cigarette is the same as a traditional cigarette?

Approximately 10-12 puffs on one of our products would deliver the same amount of nicotine as a traditional cigarette would. This is also how we work out the equivalent in traditional cigarettes that the product should last however this can be effect by how heavily you are inhaling. Longer inhalations will deplete the liquid more quickly than shorter ones. This information applies to both the refills and the disposable.

How quickly will my order be processed?

All orders placed before 11.00am Monday to Friday will be posted the same day. Any orders received after 11.00am will be posted the next working day. Any orders received after 11.00 on Friday will not be processed until the following Monday with the exception of bank holidays. An order that has been processed before 11.00am will not necessarily arrive the next day as this depends on the Fastway delivery. We cannot be held responsible for delays within Fastway network.

What are my options for postage, and how much do they cost?

 All orders are sent via Fastway Couriers. Postage costs €4.85 for all orders. We aim to despatch your order within 24 of receiving it and advise 2-3 working days for delivery. All goods will need to be signed for.

Why are Ten Motives legal to smoke anywhere?

Electronic cigarettes do not contain tobacco or any other harmful substances which means by default they are not subject to any current laws on smoking and can be used indoors. However there are some establishments which ban the use of e-cigarettes, generally because it looks too similar to normal smoking. If you are unsure whether the establishment will allow you to use the e-cigarette then always please ask the proprietor for their permission prior to using it. If you are using an e-cigarette and are asked to stop then this is the right of the establishment to decide. Please check with airlines before flying if you intend to use an e-cigarette on board as rules vary from airline to airline.
